In 15 years after people the most treasured were photographs out of all the objects in a home. Photos printed on cheap commercial paper have already rotted away largely due to the corrosive acids present in wood pulp. However, more expensive professional grade photos will last longer because it was printed on paper treated with chemicals that neutralize the acids. While it is more resistant to rot, it eventually succumb to water damage and mold. The most important historic and prized photos would survive at the Corbis Archive, where it was kept deep underground near Butler, Pennsylvania.

Eventually, the historic photos kept in the Corbis Archive would decay in 300 years once the generators ran out of fuel.
