Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls at the southern end of Niagara Gorge, spanning the border between the province of Ontario in Canada and the state of New York in the United States. The largest of the three is Horseshoe Falls, which straddles the international border of the two countries.[1]

Coverage[]

Niagara Falls is featured in Toxic Revenge.

It was introduced in 1 month after people when the 170+ foot drops and 1.5 million gallons of water each second still gush on the American and Canadian side on the Niagara river continue to put on the spectacular show has a very unnatural past. Ginger Strand stated that the Niagara region is always industrialized and one of the signs are large number of landfills. The most lethal landfills is the one at Love Canal where 20,000 tons of toxic waste lie buried. Ginger Strand stated that hazardous waste landfill is usually lined with plastic or cement and the fluids that leak out are constantly monitored and were adjusted, corrected, and repaired, and after people none of it would be happening.

The Maid of the Mist docks gets blasted away.

It's not the small leaks of toxins that will cause the most damage, but the massive surges of water that about to wreak havoc on Niagara Falls. The region attracted heavy industry in the time of humans because of access to inexpensive high hydroelectric power, and after people, a pair of plants 7 miles from the falls still generating electricity. Ginger Strand stated that hydroelectric plants don't require humans to load the fuel into the plant and water would continue to flow in and spin the turbines without people running it. Enormous intake tunnels continue to draw water into the turbines and divert it away from the falls, but it's about to change once people disappeared. Ginger Strand stated that after people, there won't be people using electricity and there won't be a need for electricity causing the substation that accept the electricity coming from the Niagara power plants by stop sending it and it would automatically begin to shut down. As the plants turn off, the intake tunnels close. Ginger Strand stated that the tunnels would no longer pulling water out of the river and it will be an interesting moment. The river suddenly rises 13 feet instantly and doubles the flow of water over the falls. At the Maid of the Mist docks downstream of Niagara Falls, the waves blasted the launch point for up-close views of the falls over 150 years.

LakeFreighters

A lake freighter is heading to Niagara Falls.

In 5 years after people, an abandoned freighter still plies the waters of the Great Lakes upstream of Niagara Falls, and all vessels still floating are heading to the same direction, Niagara Falls. Ginger Strand stated that the falls are like a bathtub drain where it pulls all of the water out of the Great Lakes making everything to move towards Niagara Falls. However, the International Railway Bridge near the entrance to the Niagara River bars the way is holding against a freighter but more ships are on the way. In 20 years, abandoned boats along with ice have cause the International Railway Bridge to collapse under pressure causing the massive ghost ships begin a new voyage and the way to Niagara Falls is wide open with only 20 miles downstream.

LakeFreightersnaps

A lake freighter snaps in half.

In 60 years after people, a freighter grounded in the Niagara River is leaking iron ore which release a red stain into the water. The freighter hold 75 thousand tons and draw more than 30 feet of water when afloat which is too deep for sections of the Niagara River near the falls, but another laker is working it's way toward the falls and it is not getting caught along the shallows. James R. Chiles stated that the most likely to make it towards the lip of the Niagara Falls are ships that are out of ballast and carrying no cargo which hardly drawing any water at 5 or 10 feet. As it approaches Niagara Falls, the begins to reach the edge of the falls. James R. Chiles stated that shells of the lakers are 1/2 inch to a couple of inches which depends on the size of the ship. As it reaches the edge, the front sheers off and breaks in half as it goes over the Canadian Falls, and the back soon follows.

AmericanFallsrunningdry

The American Falls runs dry as water erodes.

In 1,500 years after people, the American falls is undergoing a transformation. The show gave information that for centuries, the Niagara River were split at Goat Island, creating cascades over 2 brinks called the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side. Ginger Strand stated that like all waterfalls, Niagara Falls is an event where water flowing over a series of brinks that are moving backwards. As water cascades over a fall, it's eroding the rock beneath and moves it's brink upstream. Brent Murphy stated that about 900 years go, there was a single water covering the entire river and because there's a double channel above, 90% of the flow of water come over the Horseshoe Falls. The Horseshoe Falls eroded backwards about a foot a year in the time of humans, and because there are more water gushed over the Horseshoe Falls, the side eroded much faster than the American falls. After people, the Horseshoe Falls are moving backwards even faster nearly 6 feet every year because there are no longer any Niagara power plants diverting the water from the falls. Ginger Strand stated that once the Horseshoe erodes upstream of Goat Island, there'll no longer any water going over the American falls. With the Horseshoes Falls further upstream, the American Falls are now a dry cliff, and Goat Island has been connected to the bank of the river, now no longer an island.
