The National Archives Building, known informally as Archives I, is the headquarters of the United States National Archives and Records Administration. The National Archives building holds original copies of the three main formative documents of the United States and its government: the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. These are displayed to the public in the main chamber of the National Archives, which is called the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom.[1]

While the National Archives Building is not completely explained, it is a setting for the United States Constitution and one of the contributor for the fate of the Constitution in The Capital Threat.
It was introduced in one day after people when the United States Constitution is on permanent display. In 100 years after people, the encasement seals on the Constitution fails allowing air molecules, but no know microorganisms can attack without at least 2%, making it safe as long as the rotunda of the National Archives Building holds out, foreshadowing its future.
In 250 years after people, the rotunda of the National Archives Building collapse after 250 years without maintenance which exposed the United States Constitution to the elements, especially sunlight, it cause ink to fade and took a few years to make the words of the Constitution to be erased from history.
