The Monument to the Bandeiras is a large-scale granite sculpture located at the entrance of Ibirapuera Park. It commemorates the 17th-century bandeiras, or settling expeditions into the interior of Brazil, and the bandeirantes that participated in them. The monument is huge and in a prominent location, making it an easily identifiable part of the landscape of São Paulo.

20 Years after People: The parks in Sao Paulo have gone out of the limit's, this include the Ibirapuera Park, causing the Monument to the Banderias to be attacked by nature and being covered by greenery. It's fate, however, is unknown, but this monument will endure longer for years.
