Coverage[]

The KTAO station was featured in Sky's the Limit.

It was introduced in 3 days after people when most radio stations have ceased broadcasting, with the exception being the radio station KTAO in Taos, New Mexico. The station is fully solar powered and has an automated computer system, allowing it to continue broadcasting music even if there's no one around.

In 15 years after people, the solar powered KTAO radio station still continues to broadcast, but years of running continuously have worn out the bearings in the cooling fan for the station's computer. Eventually, the cooling fan fails completely, and the computer overheats and shuts down not long afterwards, finally silencing the station. Outside, plant life quickly grows in and around the station. Plaster and paint is peeling off the interior and dust accumulates on the furniture, possibly affecting the other computers and broadcasting equipment. The fate of the building remains unknown but the door has fallen off its hinges.
