The Atlantic Club Casino Hotel, formerly known as Golden Nugget, Bally's Grand, The Grand, and Atlantic City Hilton, is a casino and hotel owned and operated by Colony Capital. It was the city's first and only "locals casino".[1]
Coverage[]
The Atlantic City Hilton is featured in Sin City Meltdown as a placeholder.
It was briefly seen in 5 years after people when the feral cats break into the casinos, one being the Atlantic City Hilton.
In 50 years after people, a hurricane is approaching to the coast of Atlantic City, causing seawater to flood the buildings, which soak the framework with salt that remains behind long after the storm end, including Atlantic City Hilton. John Feairheller stated that the salt left behind sucks the water out of the air and the supports will constantly be re-wetted and corrode much faster than the rest of the structure. He continues that since the supports subjected to the heaviest loads, it'll start to fail one by one in a progressive failure, and while the first does nothing, the second and third columns would start to collapse like a demolition of a building by explosives in slow motion because only half of the building would will fall (front), then the middle, then the back. The Atlantic City Hilton is subject to it, and part by part the building collapse.
Trivia[]
- The casino was closed in January 13, 2014, with the property bought by Caesars Entertainment and Tropico bought all the slot machines, gaming tables, and player databases in a joint bankruptcy purchase for $23.4 million combined.[2] As of 2019, the property was sold to Colesseo Atlantic City, Inc.[3] Respectively, around five to ten years after the episode aired.
